Tell me what you want, what you really, really want…

Honoring the Spice Girl’s reunion… ahem.

So, remember my post a few days ago about the Rumi quote? Well, I’ve been thinking about this a lot over the last few days… What do I truly want? What do I hope to be remembered for at the end of my years?

And this, dear Yoginis, is what I came up with (downloads into Word):

The Happiness Pyramid

Want to hear more? Well, I’m excited to start sharing with you all what concrete goals organically bubbled up for me out of this exercise. I am excited to have this personal blueprint and plan to keep it posted in some key spots, lest I forget my own best intentions….

What are your New Year intentions? Do you have rituals that help you focus on where you want to be this time next year? Do you take the time to applaud and recognize what you’ve accomplished? I’d love to hear your accomplishments and aspirations!

I think I am working day to day at this point - Just trying to get the most out of every day and trying my best to bring happiness to others throughout the day…I do hope to have a bit of myself back in a year though - you know how the first year of babyhood can be…

I want to be posh spice.

No really, I want to be as present as possible in whatever I am doing, at any given moment. Before I go to bed at night, I want to reflect on five things I’m grateful for. I want to bring humor, compassion and kindness to this world. I want to live in an apartment without mice.

Oh Shannon, I remember! Really, my little happiness pyramid is a reminder for me to stay focused while I seem to be pulled in many different directions by Erick’s job.

And Kelcey, I’m sorry, but *I* get to be Posh…. ha! I love the reflection at the end of the day. And isn’t it a constitutional right to live mouse-free?

Coincidence you posted this (or maybe not… aren’t coincidences just the workings of the universe?), but I have been working on my New Year’s resolutions. I’ve also been reading that Not So Big Life book which has me thinking about a lot of aspects of life. I’m not exactly sure what I want yet, but I think I want the tip top of your pyramid to be my base! *wink*
