Gatha 07.22.2008
While lazing pool-side this summer,
I vow with all beings,
To enjoy the cool water completely,
Let my inner kid be in charge for a while.
Perhaps this Gatha will reveal to you all the reason for my absence from blogging over the last few weeks. My new work with the Embassy, coupled with lots of time at the pool with Clara, added to the regular machinations of keeping a family happy, means little (no) time to blog. Pool season is quickly coming to a close, so be patient with me, please! I promise to return with fresh, Yogic insights…

Sounds like you’re having a splendid time! Go for it; life trumps blogging, any day.

Oh, alright. We’ll wait. Sounds like you are having a marvelous summer. Enjoy.

I think a week of swimming lessons next week will make me feel human again (not for me, for the big one). The pool is shaded by pine trees and I love going there in the early morning.
I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your summer. Soon the city will empty out. Any plans for real Italian “ferie?”

Oh, yes, water and the inner child. Enjoy. Enjoy. I miss you, but being the patient gal that I am, happy to wait as long as Clara is sharing hot summer afternoons with her mom.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I’ve been finding it hard to blog too and have been doing so only sporadically. Lots of things to enjoy outside of this internet life but, I’ve missed you even so.

Love your four line poem–especially since cool water is something that all beings can and do enjoy, and that we need to exist, and that makes up most of our bodies…so how sad not to enjoy it.
Just stumbled on your blog. It’s lovely. Wish I could be in Italy–was there at around nine or ten, then again at 21, now, at 42, wouldn’t you say I’m due again?
